The Construction of Church Projects had three parts
This involve the construction of modern church, demolition of the priests’ residences and reconstruction of new offices for church.
The plan for construction of Church Project:
The plan for the construction of Church for Nabitalo Catholic Parish began to take shape around 2007, following its inauguration.
The initiative was led by Rev. Fr. Francis Ssemuddu, who was the Parish Priest at the time. His vision was to build a church that would meet both modern-day architectural standards and the expectations of a contemporary city parish.
This vision was warmly embraced and supported by a dedicated team of parishioners who remained steadfast in their commitment to its realization. Through strong community mobilization and continuous fundraising efforts, they worked tirelessly to transform this dream into a reality.
The construction process has been executed in phases:
- Phase I: Laying the foundation and constructing the wall structures.
- Phase II: Roofing the church.
- Phase III: Installing furniture and church fixtures.
- Phase IV: Final completion, including wiring, painting, and setting up additional fixtures.

The construction of a new priests’ residence was officially launched during the Parish Day celebrations on 17th September, 2024, this was blessed by His Excellency, Bishop Augustine Kasujja.
The church has embarked on a transformative project to replace the priests’ residences with modern offices, enhancing administrative efficiency and service delivery.
The construction will unfold in three carefully planned phases:
- Phase I: Laying a strong foundation to ensure structural integrity.
- Phase II: Erecting the building shell up to the shrub level, shaping the core framework.
- Phase III: Completing the construction from the first floor to the roofing, culminating in a fully functional residence.
