
Our Lady of Lourdes – Nabinene Sub-Parish
About the Sub-ParisH
Our Lady of Lourdes Nabinene Sub-Parish is located in Wakiso District, within Busukuma Sub-county, near Kabozi Trading Centre. Established in 1924, it stands as one of the oldest and most historic sub-parishes in the region.
The sub-parish is home to St. Noah Primary School, founded by Peter Emmanuel Nsubuga, who was then the Parish Priest of Gayaza Parish. He later became a Cardinal, and his visionary leadership greatly influenced the growth and development of the sub-parish and the surrounding community.
Throughout its history, Nabinene Sub-Parish has been served by a number of devoted catechists who played vital roles in evangelization and spiritual formation. These include:

- Bamutange Francis
- Musaaka Francis
- Ssentamu Francis
- Nakibuka Rose
- Ssegujja Francis
The sub-parish has also nurtured vocations to the priesthood, giving rise to notable clergy who have gone on to serve in various parts of Uganda:

- Fr. Joseph Musaka Balikudembe, of Kasana-Luweero Diocese
Today, Our Lady of Lourdes – Nabinene Sub-Parish remains a beacon of faith, education, and community development, committed to spreading the Gospel and uplifting the lives of the faithful.
